Beta Release

We are happy to finally announce the beta release of Librum (0.11.0). This release adds some more features and fixes many bugs.

In this article I will walk you through the features of version 0.11.0 and the improvements introduced.

Multi-selection

To now be able to perform operations (e.g. delete) on multiple books at the same time, we have now introduced multi-selection.

Tick the multi selection checkbox or hold down CTRL to select the books you want to operate on, then simply right click any book and select and execute an operation.

Chinese translation

This release adds the Chinese translation to Librum. Now Librum is available in: English, German, Russian and Chinese.

Other Improvements

Other rather minor improvements we have added to Librum are that we have:

- Increased the maximal zoom to 1000% (previously a max. of only 500% was possible)

- Added book duplication prevention

- Made sure to save the color theme for each individual book on the server to ensure consistent reading behavior across all of your devices

- Improved the syncing with the server by over 92%, reducing the initial load time of the application from over 8s to ~300ms

Bug Fixes

We have fixed all of the issues with translations that users encountered on Linux when installing Librum via flatpak. On top of that, we have fixed multiple other minor problems.
